The Coolest Neighborhoods in the World Have Been Chosen: One Place from Turkey
The globally renowned lifestyle magazine TimeOut has shared its annual edition of the “Coolest Neighborhoods” list. TimeOut magazine, based in London, has released the 2023 edition of its annual “Coolest Neighborhoods” list. The magazine compiled 40 different neighborhoods from various parts of the world that have become the most popular and intriguing areas in recent times.
At the top of the list is Laureles in Medellin, Colombia. Laureles is known for its vibrant nightlife and relaxed atmosphere. In the second place, we find Smithfield in Dublin, the capital of Ireland.
The third-coolest neighborhood is Carabanchel in Madrid, Spain. TimeOut magazine’s editors commented, “Carabanchel, once a distant suburb of Madrid, has become the new Soho. Art galleries are now everywhere.”
In the 32nd place on the list, there’s a neighborhood from Turkey… Bebek in Istanbul has been recognized as one of the coolest neighborhoods by TimeOut magazine. The article notes, “There’s a lot to see in Bebek, but the breathtaking view of the Bosphorus is the main attraction. The waterfront, especially during sunset, is very special. If you go to Bebek Park during those times, you can see the locals relaxing by the sea.”
The article describes Bebek as a permanent holiday destination where everything moves slowly. The residents buy ice cream, take leisurely walks, and you can find excellent restaurants, cafes, and shops along Bebek’s seaside. It’s also mentioned that Bebek has attracted many tourists from Taksim Square in recent times, and those visiting Bebek can have breakfast in the morning and visit art galleries. It’s recommended to visit Bebek, especially during the spring months.
