The Eastern Express of Turkey reported to attract high international attention

It is reported that the Eastern Express which has become a symbol on the Ankara-Kars line is also shown among the world’s best 4 routes. The officials have shared that said said route was put into service with a new concept and has enjoyed a substantial and fast increase in the number of passengers using this service, since the very start.

The journey to Kars on the Eastern Express was certainly the winter travel trend of the year. The booming demand has ended up making the route a fully booked tourist activitiy for periods like 2 months.

The express train which departs from Ankara makes long-term stops at places such as Divriği, Ilic, Erzincan and Erzurum along its route, thus providing important contribution to the tourism potential of the region. The officials also note that this route enjoys great interest on international level.

In fact, the meeting on “EU-Turkey transport cooperation” was held on the tourist Eastern Express with the initiatives of the Ministry of Transport and the participation of European Union (EU) ambassadors. The official also said the ambassadors who had had  the opportunity to see the historical and natural beauties of Anatolia, the Eastern Express had been very pleased.
