United States begins first drug trials for Corona virus spreading from Wuhan, China

The gratifying news about the Corona virus spreading around the world from Wuhan, China, came from a hospital in Nebraska, USA. The hospital announced that they would begin to use the drug remdesivir on patients.

A while ago, U.S. citizens were evacuated from the Diamond Princess, a ship that sailed from Japan and was discovered to be carrying passengers with the Corona virus, and brought to USA to be quarantined at the University of Nebraska Hospital.

It was reported that the hospital, which is known to have previously cured 4 people suffering from Ebola, would try the drug called Remdesivir, developed against the corona virus, on patients brought from said ship.

According to the American CNBC news site, doctor Bruce Aylward, affiliated with the World Health Organization, said the drug tried on two patients in Wuhan, would be the fastest method to cure patients. Aylward said the disease caused problems not only in China but also globally.

China’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Zhang Hanhui had recently shared the following statement about work conducted on said:

“The drug found by our scientists in China has proven its effect and the tests are continuing successfully. It is aimed to finish the final part of the work on the drug soon, and by the end of February, life will be back to normal in all cities in China.”
