The first cruise reservations have started to arrive in Izmir

The first reservations have been received for the cruise ships coming to ALSANCAK port in Izmir. The number of coming ships will increase with many new bookings in the year.
18 cruises are planned to Izmir Alsancak Port. Among the ships to deck to Izmir Port this year are Seven Seas Splendor, Seven Seas Navigator, Seven Seas Voyager, Seven Seas Mariner, Costa Deliziosa, Norwegian Dawn, Celestyal Crystal, Marna, Vista, Seabourn Encore, Symphony.
A top professional in the sector announced that the first bookings of 2023 were gratifying and the number of ships coming in would continue to increase.
Expressing that 2022 was the year cruise tourism recovered from the pandemic on a global scale, the expert reminded that more than a million tourists had arrived at Turkish ports with 991 ships last year. He said, “Last year, more than 50 thousand tourists came to Izmir on 27 ships. The number of ships coming to our region together with Kuşadası, Çeşme and Dikili ports reached 565 and the number of passengers reached 560 thousand.”
’WE ARE MORE AMBITIOUS IN 2023’
Expressing that Turkish ports expected much more in 2023, he said that the Aegean Port Kuşadası Port was targeting one million passengers, while the Port of Izmir was projected to reach a much higher number of passengers than last year. He added “Our biggest wish is that the war between Russia and Ukraine ends as soon as possible and that peace and tranquility comes to the Black Sea.”
