Breaking News: MHP Chairman voices date for Turkey’s 2023 presidential and deputy election

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli has made statements at the group meeting of his party in the Parliament. Bahçeli said, “The discussions over the election date should end. A date related to seasonal conditions is our expectation. Let’s finish this work in May.”

“We gathered in Kızılcahamam with the joint participation of the Central Board of Directors, the Disciplinary Board and our deputies and made evaluations on the internal and external agenda topics. The MHP is fully prepared for the elections in the coming spring season and believes in success.

The weight of the election date (on Turkey’s agenda) should end. A date related to seasonal conditions is our expectation. This is not a snap election, but an update of history. Our democracy must prove its maturity. Running away from the ballot box will not benefit anyone. Let’s finish this work in May.
