Results of said survey in which foreigners working in Turkey were questioned about what they thought were shared. Based on findings of the survey, Turkey is a source of great attraction for foreign employees in Turkey (ex-pats) due to its weather conditions, landscapes and low cost of living, but there was also something ‘quite expensive’.

CARS MOST EXPENSIVE IN TURKEY

According to the results of a survey published by media, British people living in Turkey find cars expensive, mostly. According to the newspaper, about 34 thousand British people live in Turkey. The British, some of whom prefer coastal cities in the Aegean and Mediterranean with some living in metropolitan cities such as Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, gave tips and advice for those who wanted to settle in Turkey.

“EXPENSIVE AND COMPLICATED”

According to concerned news; One of the British people who answered the questions for the survey said, “If you live in Istanbul, don’t buy a car. It’s expensive and complicated. It is easier to get from place to place by public transport or taxi in the city.”

Another one gave the advice “Be brave about learning and living the culture”, while another recommendation was to go to the Sunday market and get acquainted with artisans such as butchers. Another Brit living in Turkey also suggested “Make sure you see the ‘real’ Turkey, not just the holiday sides”.

Right after we published the post which enjoyed great interest among followers of the web-page, dear Elaine (a friend living in MUGLA region) warned we should definitely include house prices and sky-rocketing rents among things Brits (as well as all other foreign friends over here) find expensive. And Elaine was right, so we did as she had suggested. Many THANKS for the contribution dear Elaine 🙂

Yes, it is a very clear fact today that house prices in Turkey have gone crazy, as well as rents – to the extent that it is now almost impossible for anybody with a humble salary to afford a house – and same applies to rents, unluckily.
