The Greater Middle East Plan of the USA, Israel’s aggression and Turkey’s position in the region

We know that the Palestinian issue has been a recurring sore point in world affairs almost continuously since the establishment of Israel in the territory it currently occupies. Without delving into the contentious issue of establishing a Jewish state on the land where Palestinians resided, it’s evident that this is at certainly one of the initial causes behind the dangerous developments we witness today.

For decades, there have been sporadic tensions between Israel and Palestine, resulting in the loss of thousands of lives – with great majority of casualties on the Palestinian side. Israel, using its state power and undoubtedly feeling the support of the United States, has not hesitated to inflict oppression upon the Palestinian people. However, in recent months, it has caused even more damage to the Palestinian population than all previous instances combined.

ISRAEL’S STRATEGY: THE BEST DEFENCE IS OFFENCE

When we look at the reasons and factors behind this, we can see that Israel, due to its very troubled past (the Holocaust), has likely developed an automatic defense mechanism. It seems to have adopted the principle of “the best defense is offense.” While this emotional/instinctive defense mechanism might be understandable, the disproportionate brutality and oppression it has exercised, especially in recent months, defy the comprehension and conscience of any rational and compassionate person.

Another equally important (if not more) reason is the “Greater Middle East Project,” which the United States has obviously not quit and is now openly pursuing. This project, fundamentally based on the principles of “Divide, Conquer, Rule,” aims to fragment Middle Eastern states into smaller, powerless entities, thereby neutralizing Israel’s security concerns and allowing the United States to control the region’s natural resources as it sees fit. It’s a series of “extremely dangerous” plans designed to enable the US to exert its influence in the region.

CAN ISRAEL BE PERSUADED TO STOP COMMITTING CRIME OF HUMANITY

As it stands now, it seems that it will not be very easy to persuade Israel to stop the crimes it has been committing against humanity also judging on the fact that the USA keeps emphasizing its support for Israel (for whatever Israel does, apparently).

Now  when we look at the bigger picture, we should be able to see that Iran is the current (not even the next) target to take care of in the region – as Iraq and Syria have already been made into passive states (if we can call Iraq, a state really). This means US wants (and aims) to weaken Iran to the maximum point, it can (if not divide and conquer etc.) so that there will not be further resistance in the region, neither will be a risk of security for Israel.  It goes without saying this is a very dangerous game and very difficult task as well. This is almost mission impossible really, as Russia would never allow such plans to materialize (Putin has already made a statement today declaring his support for Iran in case US directly gets involved in the conflict between Israel and Iran)

WHERE DOES TURKEY COME INTO THE PICTURE?

Having said all this, where does Turkey stand in this scary picture?

Although a Nato member, Turkey is now well aware that this alliance is not the reliable partner it is supposed to be and is easily manipulated (and directed) by the US (the boss). In other words the question is, would the USA favor the presence of a very powerful Turkey in the region in the long run or would it be more favorable to see a weakened Turkey, under the control of the US, abiding by the rules imposed by Uncle Sam, the rules designed to comply with the absolute benefits of the US (and Israel).

COULD TURKEY BE AN OBSTACLE FOR USA ON THE WAY TO EXECUTION OF ITS PLANS

As one would easily understand from the above paragraph, there might (actually most likely will) be a day when the US will see Turkey as an obstacle for the implementation of its plans (as explained above) in the region… And that might (and likely will sometime) be the day. As for if Turkey could cope with this scenario, the answer we could come up with is a little complex to say the least.

Yes, Turkey is a very big country, in fact much bigger than all those mentioned above and others in the region, too. Yes, Turkey has a powerful army, as we know and all. However, when we look at the whole picture that is, financial strength, dependence on foreign sources, status of relations with neighboring countries and other major states in the World etc., as well as the political situation in the country, it would be a real challenge for Turkey and even an issue of survival, so to say.

TURKEY NEEDS TO BE ALERT AND VERY CAUTIOUS AND REFRAIN FROM TAKING SIDES

Therefore, Turkey should be very cautious and careful to stay out of these very dangerous developments and maintain relations by not taking sides whatsoever, thus not putting its benefits and security at risk. In other words, Turkey should be very careful not to get involved in the conflict caused by Israel (and US behind) destined to grow much bigger before long maybe, such as favoring or supporting any parties which are parts of the conflict. Turkey should manage to keep the same distance to all those involved in the region, thus eliminating any excuse for any third party to show hostility against Turkey.

Would or could that be easy? We’ll see, hopefully it will be easier than it looks, currently.
