The minimum wage was announced by Erdogan

The last meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission began today at 11:00 at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. President Erdoğan announced the minimum wage at about 15:30.

The new minimum wage was fixed as 4,250 TL for 2022. The increase is supposed to be at 50 percent level.

President Tayyip Erdogan announced that the minimum wage for 2022 had been set at 4,250 Turkish liras. Income and stamp duty on the minimum wage were abolished. This transaction means that employers will be exempt from 450 TL of tax.
