The number of tourists in Cappadocia could reach 10 million in 2024

Dorak Holding brought together 250 employees and business partners from five continents at the Istanbul Ritz Carlton Hotel between January 14-17. Ahmet Körükçü, Chairman and CEO of Dorak Holding, claimed that Cappadocia has the potential to reach 10 million tourists in 2024.

During the meeting named “Building The Future,” which hosted tourism representatives from 23 different countries, Turkey’s tourism goals for 2024, strategies to increase the number of tourists coming to Turkey, and proposed solutions for providing tourists with better services were discussed.

“Cappadocia Region has strategic importance in Turkish tourism”

Speaking at the meeting, where representatives from 28 different restaurants, retailers, travel agencies, balloon companies, and transportation professionals, mainly based in Istanbul and Cappadocia, were present, Ahmet Serdar Körükçü, Chairman and CEO of Dorak Holding, provided information that the number of tourists in Cappadocia approached 4 million in 2023. Körükçü said, “There is potential for this number to reach 10 million in 2024. I believe these figures once again emphasize the iconic and strategic value of the region in the Turkish tourism sector.”
