The table of six is not in a hurry: The nomination process is at the survey stage

After President Tayyip Erdogan pointed to May 14 for the elections, eyes were turned to the six-party table, which has not yet announced its candidate. The staff of the six-party table believes that Erdogan’s statement will not affect the nomination processes. The staff stated that the candidate would be announced to the public in mid-February with a big event.

Erdogan almost finalized the May 14 date for the elections in his speech at the group meeting of his party. His partner Bahçeli also confirmed this by saying, “Although the polling date is not official, it has been approximately determined”.

Although there is no official announcement for the election date, there is an expectation of candidates for the six-party table formed by the CHP, GOOD Party, DP, Felicity, Future and DEVA Party. The table representatives, who often say, “We will announce our candidate when the election date is announced,” said that their calendars would continue to function.

According to the information obtained by Diken from party sources, the determination step of the candidate will be put on the agenda at the meeting of the six-member table to be held at the IYI Party Headquarters on January 26. But it is a remote possibility that a clear name will be agreed on at this meeting.

QUESTIONAIRES WILL BE PRESENTED

The leaders who will attend the meeting will present the polls commissioned by their parties to each other and negotiations will be held on possible names here. As a result of the negotiations, the authorized bodies of the parties will be given time to discuss names that have thus come to the agenda. During this time, the leaders will exchange views with their authorized bodies and the final meeting will be held for the decision at the meeting hosted by the Felicity Party.
