The US Central Bank raised the interest rate by 75 basis points to 4 percent from 3.25 percent, within expectations. The Fed made its interest rate decision unanimously.

We are ready to adjust our policy accordingly. We will take into account, cumulative tightening, delayed policy effects, economic and financial developments when determining the pace of interest rate hikes.

FED predicted that continued interest rate hikes would be appropriate in terms of achieving a severely limiting policy stance in order to return inflation to the 2 percent level over time.

Inflation remains high. Employment gains were strong, the unemployment rate continued to be low. Recent indicators point to moderate growth in spending and production. The war in Ukraine is putting additional upward pressure on inflation, putting pressure on global economic activity.
