Top destinations for British tourists in 8 months revealed

The most popular destinations for British tourists during the January-August period of 2024 have been revealed.

According to an analysis by Tourism Databank based on data from the UK Civil Aviation Authority, international travel from the UK by air increased by 8% in the January-August 2024 period, surpassing 172 million trips.

15.8% Increase in Trips to Turkey!

Among international flights from the UK (departures and arrivals), Spain ranked first with 30.1 million trips. It was followed by the USA, Italy, France, and the Netherlands. Turkey saw a 15.8% increase, with over 7.6 million trips. Istanbul and Antalya each showed 19% growth, while Muğla grew by 9%.

However, Muğla’s share decreased further, dropping from 30% last year to 28%.
