The Antalya Tourism Fair (ATF24) has opened its doors for the sixth time this year. The fair, held at the Antalya Expo Center, will run until October 25.

The opening ceremony was attended by ATF Founder and Chairman of the Board Selçuk Meral, Deputy General Manager of İşbank Sezgin Yılmaz, Vice President of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) Davut Günaydın, President of the Mediterranean Touristic Hoteliers and Operators Association (AKTOB) Kaan Kavaloğlu, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Fikri Ataoğlu, Governor of Antalya Hulusi Şahin, CHP Antalya MP Sururi Çorabatır, and many industry representatives.

During his speech, Selçuk Meral, the Founder and Chairman of ATF, emphasized that tourism was a sector where every detail is interconnected. He said, “Exhibitions are one branch of this. We started the fair in 2019 with 4,000 square meters, and today, we are hosting it in a 35,000 square meter space with over 30,000 participants.”

Meral explained that they embarked on this journey with the belief that the best promotion of Turkey should be done in Turkey, not in London or Berlin. “This concept was accepted, and the faces of tourism industry leaders are now here at the fair. Our project to bring together the tourism sector on a platform for ideas has been well received. The concept of local exhibitions is rarely done. ATF has succeeded in changing the rules of the game by doing something unique. ATF is the only fair in the world that introduces not just Turkey but also resort hotels, and it’s held in Antalya, the heart of tourism. Tour operators from Poland, the UK, Russia, the Balkans, and even Africa are present,” he said.

Meral concluded his speech by thanking the public and private institutions that supported the fair.
