Tour companies say they will extend tourism season until November in 2020

Tour companies bringing tourists to Antalya will extend the season until November if there is no problem regarding the virus. The plane that brought the first Russian tourist convoy to Antalya, the capital of Turkish tourism, landed yesterday. Antalya, which broke an all-time record in the number of tourists last year, raised hopes again.

Provided virus-related problems do not turn out to be the major obstacle, tour companies bringing tourists will see to it the season is extended until November this year. The sector argues that one of the biggest factors in continuing the increase will be the  healthy return of tourists to their homes.

While 70 flights took place on the first day from Russia to Antalya, 22,934 Russian tourists came on holiday. In addition, more than 35 thousand tourists came to Antalya with 139 flights from Ukraine, Germany, Macedonia, Moldova, Belarus, Serbia, Switzerland, France, Austria, Sweden and Denmark.

The number of tourists coming to Antalya exceeded 100 thousand in the last 5 days.
