Tourism expert: “1 Million Germans Will Visit Antalya in September and October”

The President of the Mediterranean Touristic Hoteliers Association (AKTOB), Kaan Kavaloğlu, made evaluations regarding the tourism season in Antalya. Kavaloğlu stated that as of yesterday, the number of visitors to Antalya had exceeded 12.5 million.

Kavaloğlu said, “Germans are the second largest group after Russians. Last September, 485,000 Germans visited, and in October, 575,000 Germans came. This year, over 1 million Germans are expected to choose Antalya in September and October.” He also mentioned that the number of Germans coming in October is expected to surpass the number of Russians.

“We Expect Over 400,000 Tourists in Antalya in November”

Regarding November, Kavaloğlu stated, “We anticipate a good November with the advantage of prices and favorable weather conditions. Last November, the total number of tourists in Antalya exceeded 400,000, and this year, we aim for more than 400,000 tourists again.”

Kavaloğlu added, “In December, the total number of tourists to Antalya is 315,000. In January, it’s 230,000, in February 230,000, and in March 500,000. This year, we expect more than 1.5 million tourists between November and March.”

Kavaloğlu also referred to hotel prices, stating, “As we approach the winter months, prices become more discounted, making hotel rates more attractive.”
