Mehmet İşler, the President of the Aegean Touristic Establishments and Accommodations Association, stated that the occupancy rates in hotels in the Aegean Region had approached 100% during the 3-day New Year’s holiday.

Mehmet İşler, the President of the Aegean Touristic Establishments and Accommodations Association (ETİK), made an assessment regarding New Year’s Eve reservations in tourist districts such as Çeşme, Bodrum, Foça, and Seferihisar in the Aegean Region.

“Occupancy rates in hotels are nearly 100% on New Year’s Eve”

İşler stated that those who wanted to celebrate New Year’s Eve in touristic areas had created intensity in reservations, and occupancy rates had approached 100%. He said, “The 3-day New Year’s holiday has provided a great opportunity for tourism. Especially, hotels provided accommodation packages for celebrating New Year’s in 2-day or 3-day packages. The sector did not forget about the children. Special entertainment programs, children’s menus, and entertainment activities for children to celebrate the new year with their families were prepared for them. In the Aegean Region, we had reached around 80% occupancy until 15 days ago. As we entered the last week, the occupancy rates in almost all our facilities are approaching 100%. Citizens who have not made a decision should hold on tight. In the Aegean Region, we, as tourism professionals, will enter the year 2024 with abundance.”
