Tourism Minister Ersoy: A lot of diving tourists come from abroad

Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy made a memorial dive to the wreck of the British “HMT Lundy” in Çanakkale.

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy made a memorial dive in the Historical Underwater Park of Gallipoli at the events of the Troy Cultural Road Festival in Çanakkale within the scope of the Turkish Cultural Road Festivals.

Ersoy, who made statements after his dive to the wreck of the British “HMT Lundy”, said, “There was a very large participation in the events, which made us very happy. There were high attendances such as 25 thousand, 20 thousand, 10 thousand to many of our events. We are working both to extend the season and to extend the season to 12 months in all sectors. This year, too, a very large number of diving tourists from abroad began to come to Çanakkale. We hope that these numbers will increase even more next year.”
