According to the data, the country that sent the highest number of visitors in the first eight months was Germany, which sent 3 million 850 thousand visitors with an increase of 105.73 percent. In this period, a record increase was recorded in number of visitors sent to Turkey with 2,310,000.

In August, the UK was ranked third among the countries that sent the most tourists to Turkey in both the eight-month period and the month of August.
