Tourism professional says Cappadocia most affected by Russia’s ban decision
Vice President of Turkish Federation of Hoteliers (TÜROFED) has said Russia’s ban decision will be felt by Cappadocia, most.
He went on to say, “The Far East and Latin American tourists were replaced by Ukrainian, Russian and domestic tourists during the epidemic. Now, we have Ukrainian and domestic tourists left.”
He also shared following; “Closing and travel bans will affect city hotels and tourism is not only sea-sand and sun. For this reason, the close-down and travel bans that coincide with tourism season in Cappadocia will have a strong impact. That would mean Cappadocia and city hotels will have to pay the bill. Now cancellations are coming. Insurance, VAT support, KCÖ (short employment payment) should continue. We don’t have a good season behind us this time.”
