Tourism reps from China pay visit Diyarbakır, Turkey

Chinese tourism representatives recently visited Diyarbakır as part of a tour covering the cities of Elazığ, Malatya, and Adıyaman, to explore the region’s historical, cultural, and gastronomic values. The delegation, which included prominent travel agency managers from the People’s Republic of China and the Turkish Airlines (THY) Shanghai Manager, aimed to discover the region’s rich history and culture.
The primary goal of this tour was to increase the region’s international tourism recognition and attract Chinese tourists.
During the visit, Diyarbakır Governor Murat Zorluoğlu hosted the delegation, highlighting the importance of promoting the region’s historical, cultural, and tourist attractions. The delegation visited key sites in Diyarbakır, such as the historic walls, Ulu Mosque, and Hasan Paşa Inn, while experiencing the local cuisine and natural beauty. Supported by key institutions, the group will continue their tour in Elazığ, Malatya, and Adıyaman, with the goal of developing new tourism destinations for Chinese travelers and boosting the region’s appeal.
In the following days, the delegation will visit tourist sites in Elazığ, Malatya, and Adıyaman. The group is expected to study the historical structures and natural landscapes of the region and work on developing new tourism destinations for Chinese travelers. This visit is seen as a major step toward increasing the international recognition of the region and boosting the number of Chinese tourists.
The aim is for Diyarbakır to become an international tourism hub with this important visit.
