Tourist dies while being handcuffed after causing disturbance at hotel

TOURIST IN AYDIN DIES

In Kuşadası, a district of Aydın, a tourist reportedly died after being handcuffed following a disturbance. The incident occurred after the tourist got into an argument with hotel staff.

Plamen Dinev, a 35-year-old Bulgarian national, allegedly began shouting inside the hotel after consuming too much alcohol. Despite multiple warnings from hotel staff, Dinev ignored them. A physical altercation ensued between the hotel staff and Dinev. Security intervened and restrained Dinev with handcuffs. Suddenly, Dinev became unresponsive and collapsed.

Hotel staff immediately contacted the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon arrival, medical personnel confirmed that Plamen Dinev had passed away. His body was taken to the Kuşadası State Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Following the incident, Kuşadası District Police’s Public Order Bureau initiated a detailed investigation. They confiscated all surveillance footage and detained 14 hotel staff members involved in the altercation. The exact cause of Dinev’s death will be determined after the autopsy, and a comprehensive investigation into the incident is ongoing.
