Travel Turkey: The first group of English tourists of the year 2024 arrive in Dalaman

A group of 189 tourists from England was ceremoniously welcomed at Dalaman Airport in the district of Muğla. The welcoming ceremony was organized for the 189 tourists who arrived at YDA Dalaman Airport from Manchester, England, via Jet2.com.

Upon disembarking from the plane, the passengers were greeted with a ceremony by the Head Manager of Dalaman Airport, the CEO of YDA Dalaman Airport, and airport staff. Various treats were offered to the English tourists, along with gifts to commemorate their visit. After completing their procedures, they proceeded to the hotels where they would be staying.

The CEO of YDA Dalaman Airport, mentioned that the first charter flight of the season from Jet2.com had arrived at Dalaman Airport from England, marking the beginning of the tourism season. He stated, “Every year, our goal is to bring forward the opening of the season to ensure the continuity of flights throughout the year. For this purpose, we continue to work with all stakeholders and business partners in the tourism sector. As YDA Dalaman Airport, we have completed comprehensive preparations for the tourism season. We have renewed our duty-free area and expanded our product range to enhance our passengers’ shopping experiences. We have also made improvements to the waiting areas at passport control points to expedite processes and enhance passenger comfort.”

Reminding that they welcomed their 5 millionth passenger on the 100th anniversary of the Republic, he said, “This was not only a milestone for us but also a source of pride. As YDA Dalaman Airport, we strive to grow every day and provide the best possible service. With the achievement of our 5 millionth passenger in 2023, we will continue to progress towards even greater goals.
