TUIK announces inflation figure for June 2022: 4.95 percent

Public and retirees were particularly curious to know th rate to be announced by TUIK. ENAG publishes inflation data that it measures using its own methods before TURKSTAT, while TURKSTAT publishes inflation data at 10 a.m. on the 3rd of every month.

TUIK has announced inflation for June 2022 as 4.95 Percent. The annual inflation on the other hand has reached 78.62. Accordingly the authority will be increasing pension payments by 42.3 percent.

According to private group ENAG, actual yearly inflation is almost twice this figure, 175 percent. Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) has come up with much higher figures as compared to those of TUIK. Based on data by ITO, annual inflation in Istanbul has reached 94 percent.
