Turkey among star destinations in tourism with promising prospects for 2024 season

Many travel companies that concluded the 2023 summer season with a strong increase are painting a highly optimistic picture for the 2024 season as well. According to a German tour operator, Turkey is leading the list of destinations.

Several major tour operators in Germany have successfully wrapped up the 2023 summer season with a significant increase. Following a promising start to the winter season, these companies are expecting to deliver strong performance for the 2024 summer season.

A top executive from these companies stated, “We are experiencing a very strong start in 2024 summer season bookings. We have already made nearly three times more reservations compared to the previous year. In fact, we are over 15% above the reservation level during the November 2018 period.”

The same executive continues, “Turkey appears to be the current most popular destination for many companies, followed by Spain and Greece. Tunisia and Egypt hold the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.”

For long-haul destinations, Mauritius, the Maldives, and the Seychelles lead the reservation rankings for the upcoming summer, followed by North America and the Caribbean, including the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Cuba.

The United Arab Emirates and Thailand follow these destinations.
