Turkey and China to Cooperate in Energy

Turkey is determined to develop its economic relations with world giant China in parallel to its policy to be among the top ten economies by 2023.

In this framework, the government has undersigned a deal to boost cooperation with China in several fields of the energy sector, including nuclear power and boron minerals.

The five-year cooperation deal was undersigned by the Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Sources yesterday with a possibility of expanding the validity of the deal upon agreement by both countries.

Cooperation will be focused in fields such as nuclear power, boron technologies, renewable energy, thermal power, energy conservation, hydrocarbon exploration and production and mining technologies.

Other fields of cooperation are production of solar energy equipment and hydroelectric power plants.

China has cedrtainly become a serious challenge to the influence of the USA in all parts of the world, including the region Turkey is located in. That is certainly why the USA considers China to be number threat to the American dominance in the world.
