In the EURO 2024 Round of 16 match, Turkey defeated Austria 2-1 to advance to the quarterfinals.

Turkey’s defender Merih Demiral put his team ahead 1-0 with a historic goal in the 57th second, and then made it 2-0 in the 59th minute.
