Turkey increases departure fees to travel abroad

By the presidential decision, a record increase was made in the departure fee to travel abroad. Accordingly, said fee which was 50 TL in 2021, was increased by 200 percent to 150 TL.

The fee which is mandatory for all Turkish citizens (over the age of 7) who would like to go abroad with a passport of the Republic of Turkey, was applied as 50 TL since July 15, 2019.

In accordance with great need of additional finance apparently, the government has made substantial hikes in many fees and taxes.
