Turkey moves from 37^th position to 5^th in European start-up economy

The presentation of “The World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF) World Congress” and the Mediterranean Congress, which will be held on October 25-26 in Antalya with the initiatives of Antalya Organized Industrial Zone Technopark and attended by close to 2 thousand investors and representatives from 130 countries, was realized at Nirvana Cosmopolitan Hotel.

The Governor of Antalya Ersin Yazıcı and the President of Antalya SIAD also attended the introductory meeting. Antalya Governor Ersin Yazıcı noted that Antalya, the capital of tourism and agriculture, would successfully complete this special organization.

Stating that digitalization was the number one in life, Yazıcı continued as follows. “Antalya is a city that provides world-class services in tourism and agriculture. We export our agricultural products to the world using technology. We also use digitalization in tourism in the best way and we are number one in the world in tourism. We have a capacity of 680 thousand beds. We provide the highest quality tourism service at the most affordable prices. We have captured the informatics and technological development. All roads lead to tourism in Antalya. We are a leader in the agricultural and tourism sector. This is reflected in all sectors.’’

Antalya Governor Ersin Yazıcı added that 1003 planes had landed and taken off at Antalya airport last Saturday and more than 81 thousand tourists had arrived, and the number of tourists who came to Antalya since the beginning of the year had exceeded 4 million.

It was also noted that Turkey was moving very quickly in terms of angel investment and had moved from 37^th position to 5^th in European start-up economy.
