Regarding the presidential candidacy, Buğra KAVUNCU from the IYI (Good) Party said “the presidential candidate of 6-party table will be announced in January. The bill for this will be paid at the ballot box, I am sure (referring to the unfair treatment IBB mayor Imamoglu has been given, recently).

Buğra Kavuncu of the IYI Party spoke in a TV program about the presidential election process and said, “We don’t know the election date yet. However, the nomination (candidate of 6-party table) announcement will come in January. We are waiting for it to be announced in January.”

KAVUNCU also said the following words about the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Ekrem Imamoğlu, who has been on the agenda, lately:

The issue is not IMAMOGLLU anymore. It has do to with the reaction to those who have extend their hands to that ballot box, and then an effort to destroy that will (people’s will). We need to voice this in the loudest tone. And if necessary, on the street, within the framework of the law by democratic means. The bill for this will be paid at the ballot box, I’m sure!

The court processes (Imamoglu case) have been accelerated. As if there were not enough cases, now a terrorism-related issue is being raised. This was not enough. For instance, there is talk about the possibility of a new case because the state budget was damaged due to the bringing of the portrait of Fatih Sultan Mehmet, back to Turkey, etcetera. (editor’s note: meaning some are trying to create excuses to get rid of Imamoglu
