Turkey’s Interior Minister says “We will not hesitate to confiscate factories”

As known to us all, the coronavirus pandemic has caused big concern and loss of human lives across the globe. It has just started to be much more effective in Turkey as well and masks together with other respiratory equipment are vital for the health personnel to fight the pandemic.

Turkey’s Interior Minister SOYLU who gave an interview on social media regarding the issue, made very important statements. He said that some mask manufacturers stocked the masks they produced, in their warehouses and did not sell them to the ministry.

Explaining that some mask producers stocked their products in their warehouses, Interior Minister Suleyman SOYLU said the government would not hesitate to confiscate the factories of such companies.

SOYLU said that these producers had 12 hours and if they would not make an agreement with the ministry in this period, the government would take the necessary actions.

He went on to say, “They keep masks in their warehouses and don’t sell them to the ministry. We raided simultaneously at 0800 this morning and warned them to make a deal with the ministry. They have until tomorrow or we won’t hesitate to seize their factory. We have the right to do this.”
