Turkey’s Treasury and Finance Minister Lütfi Elvan resigns

Turkey’s “Treasury and Finance Minister” Lütfi Elvan has resigned. With this decision, the Minister of Treasury and Finance was changed for the third time in a year. Nureddin Nebati was appointed to replace Elvan.
According to the Presidential decree published in the Official Gazette dated December 2, 2021, the Minister of Treasury and Finance Lütfi Elvan resigned. Elvan was replaced by Nureddin Nebati, who served as Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance.
The news that Elvan would be dismissed had echoed backstage for a while, but no decision was made on Friday last week.
