Turkish Airlines Begins Flights to South America

Turkish Airlines (THY) has expanded its flight network in South America by launching new flights to Santiago, the capital of Chile. With this addition, THY now serves a total of 347 destinations worldwide.
Four Weekly Flights to Chile
The flights from Istanbul to Santiago will be operated with a stopover in São Paulo, offering four frequencies per week. Santiago becomes the 26th destination in the Americas for THY, marking its 10th country in the region.
In a statement on the launch of the Santiago flights, Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşi said, “As the airline flying to the most countries in the world, we continue to connect continents and cultures. With our Santiago flights, we offer our passengers the opportunity to explore Chile and other regional beauties with Turkish hospitality. These flights will contribute not only to trade and tourism but also to cultural exchange between the two countries.”
Promotional Campaign with Prices Starting at $1099
Turkish Airlines has introduced competitive ticket prices for the Santiago flights. Under a special campaign valid until March 31, 2025, passengers can travel from Istanbul to Santiago starting at $1099, and from Santiago to Istanbul starting at $999. Tickets can be purchased through THY’s official website, ticket sales offices, and travel agencies.
Special Services for Passengers
In addition to the new destination, Turkish Airlines is offering exclusive services for its passengers. The “Stopover Istanbul” program, which provides free hotel accommodation for long layovers, and the “TourIstanbul” program, offering free guided tours to explore Istanbul’s historic sights for layovers between 6 and 24 hours, will also be available for Santiago flights.
