Turkish authorities increase the number of provinces with bans for 65 plus citizens to 7

With increasing cases of coronavirus, new measures are being introduced for citizens over the age of 65. Most recently, citizens in in Van and Kayseri with age of 65 and over were banned from participating in mass activities such as weddings, engagements, circumcisions and mevlits.
Due to increased Coronavirus cases in Malatya, Düzce, Urfa, Maraş and Yalova restrictions for citizens over the age of 65 had already been imposed earlier.
New restrictions were imposed based on decisions taken by the provincial hygiene board following an increase in Covid-19 cases in Van. Citizens 65 years of age and older were banned from participating in mass events such as weddings, engagements, circumcisions and mawlids. In Kayseri, citizens 65 years of age and older participate in mass events, Sunday and shopping malls, such as the entrance to the restricted reportedly.
