Governor’s Office announces ban to enter forests in Balıkesir region for prevention of fires

With the decision taken by Balıkesir Governorate, all forested areas including Kazdağları have been banned for prevention of fires, except for the promenade areas designated.

A number of measures have been taken by the Balıkesir Governorate against the increased fires in recent days. In line with the ruling, entry to forests was banned. A written statement from Balikesir governor on the subject said, “

“Until 15 September 2020, all entries to forested areas and all kinds of activities by means of vehicles such as ATV, UTV, motorcycle, etc. as well as tented camping for sporting purposes are prohibited, within Balıkesir province except for areas specified otherwise”.
