Turkish delegation goes to Sweden for discussions

FINLAND AND SWEDEN NATO ENTRY MEETINGS

The commitments made by Sweden and Finland to Turkey for NATO membership will be discussed at the meeting that the delegations of the 3 countries will hold in Stockholm today.

Presidential Spokesman Ibrahim KALIN and Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat ONAL will participate in the meetings to review the steps taken and committed to be taken by Sweden and Finland.

At the meeting, topics such as the extradition of members of terrorist organizations, especially the PKK and FETO, and limiting the activities of the organization will be discussed.

Last week, statements and photographs containing terrorist propaganda images were projected on the building of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm, and after the incident, the Swedish Ambassador to Ankara was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Turkey’s reaction was expressed.

ÇAVUŞOĞLU-HAAVISTO MEETING

In addition, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu held a telephone conversation with Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto. During the meeting, NATO enlargement, recent developments in Ukraine and the grain agreement were discussed.
