Two people arrested for slaughtering and selling horse and donkey meat in Adana

In Adana’s central Yüreğir district, two suspects were arrested for slaughtering single-hoofed animals. Yüreğir Municipality’s Municipal Police teams, acting on a tip-off about illegal slaughter, conducted a search at an address in Bahçelievler neighborhood.

Municipal police discovered that 12 donkeys had been slaughtered at the location. Two donkeys and six horses, which were awaiting slaughter, were rescued and taken to an animal shelter.

Police officers dispatched to the scene took two suspects into custody, and the seized meat was destroyed.
