UK pubs to require customers to show vaccine certificates or test results on entry

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said pubs may request vaccination certificates from their incoming customers if they see the need.

Details of how restrictions will be lifted in the UK, which is nearing the end of its third full closure period due to the Coronavirus outbreak, are being discussed. Pubs, restaurants and cafes in the UK are expected to start serving outdoors on April 12, as reported by BBC

Johnson informed MPs on the issue in a Commons committee yesterday. During the session, an MP from Conservative Party asked Johnson if the practice of showing vaccine certificates was “appropriate for free societies like ours.”

Johnson said “According to the regulations currently in force, doctors should have received a Hepatitis B vaccine” and stressed that they should not completely eliminate this option.
