UK Tourists Flock to Turkey: £15 Flights, £212 Holidays Drive Surge
A Strong Comeback for Turkey in the UK Market
Turkey is quickly becoming one of the top choices for British travelers in the 2026 summer season. Affordable flights and competitively priced all-inclusive packages are fueling a noticeable surge in demand. In fact, the number of UK visitors to Turkey rose by 16% last month compared to the same period last year. Back in 2025, total British arrivals had already reached 4.27 million, and the upward trend clearly continues.
Popular destinations remain consistent: Istanbul, Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman, and Izmir are leading the way.
Flights from London Starting at Just £15
Flight prices are playing a major role in this shift. According to Google Flights data, traveling from London to Turkey has become remarkably affordable. One-way tickets have been spotted at extremely low prices, including £15 to Bodrum, £28 to Dalaman, £30 to Antalya, £33 to Istanbul, £41 to Izmir, and £52 to Ankara.
One standout deal was a Ryanair flight from London Stansted to Bodrum on April 15, which dropped to just £15 one way.
Budget Holiday Packages Attract Attention
It’s not just flights—package holidays are also highly competitive. EasyJet Holidays, for example, offers a 7-night self-catering package in Marmaris, including flights, starting from £212 per person for departures on April 22. A similar 7-night stay in Dalaman with breakfast included is available from £214 per person.
These prices are making Turkey one of the most cost-effective options for British holidaymakers this year.
Belek Remains a Golf Tourism Hotspot
For those looking for something more premium, Belek continues to stand out as a top golf destination in the Mediterranean. A 7-night all-inclusive golf holiday, including flights, starts at around £837 per person. On the luxury end, packages including four rounds of golf at one of Turkey’s largest golf resorts can reach £2,499 per person.
Industry insiders are also seeing momentum. Representatives from major travel companies report a strong rebound in bookings, with expectations of a particularly busy summer season ahead.
Turkey Gains Ground as Alternatives Lose Appeal
Ongoing tensions in parts of the Middle East have reduced demand for destinations like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, indirectly benefiting Turkey. At the same time, updated travel guidance from the UK Foreign Office considers most of Turkey safe for travel, excluding areas within 10 kilometers of the Syrian border.
This combination of affordability, accessibility, and perceived safety is pushing Turkey further into the spotlight.
Expanding Flight Networks Support Growth
Airlines are also responding to rising demand. EasyJet has launched new routes from Newcastle to 22 destinations, including Antalya and Dalaman, further improving access for UK travelers.
