US Embassy in Kiev urges Americans in Kiev to leave Ukraine immediately

The Embassy of the United States of America (USA) has asked its citizens in Kiev to leave Ukraine. According to Sputnik, the US Embassy in Kiev has issued a call to its citizens to leave Ukraine immediately due to the increased risk of Russia launching military actions. “The US Embassy urges US citizens who are in Ukraine to consider the possibility of immediately leaving Ukraine using commercial means of transport or other options they have” the statement said.

On Sunday January, 23, the US Department of State had issued an order to initiate the voluntary evacuation of some of the diplomats and their family members from the country in Ukraine, while advising its citizens not to travel to Russia.

It has been learned that Germany has informed Ukraine that it intends to evacuate some of its diplomats. Also on January 25, Canada made the decision to evacuate the families of diplomats in Ukraine.
