BIDEN CALLS ERDOGAN FINALLY

Joe Biden has called President Erdogan on the phone for the first time, 93 days after taking office as U.S. President on January 20. The long-awaited phone call between President Erdogan and Joe Biden who took office on 20 January 2021, finally took place.

The White House shared following written statement in regards:

“President Biden has talked to Turkish President Erdogan today and conveyed the importance he attributes to constructive bilateral relations with broader areas of cooperation and effective management of intransigence,”

BIDEN, ERDOGAN TO MEET IN BRUSSELS

Biden and Erdogan will meet at the NATO summit in Brussels on June 14.:

The leaders decided to hold a bilateral meeting at the NATO summit in June and discuss bilateral and regional issues in a broad framework.

It was announced earlier that US President Joe Biden, who said before taking office that “he would recognize the so-called Armenian genocide,” would keep that promise on April 24. The statement was interpreted as “a step that would damage relations between the two countries”.
