Vaccination passport is on main agenda of USA and Europe
The coronavirus pandemic which first entered our lives in the last days of 2019, remains the number one common agenda in the world. Many new concepts have entered our lives with the virus, which has cost millions of lives around the world.
One of them is “vaccination passports”. Currently, there is a debate about “whether the fourth wave of pandemic will come”, vaccine passports are on the agenda again.
According to Turkish media, this passport which will show if someone has received a Coronavirus vaccine or had a test that was negative.
HOW WILL THE VACCINE PASSPORT BE USED?
The vaccine passport, which is planned to be a smart app, will look like the boarding passes used to board planes.
Just like digital boarding passes, the app will have a scanable QR code. This part will be scanned in which case it will be possible to see the person’s entire medical history.

According to piece of news on internet media it will be possible to carry QR code in printed form.
Currently, those travelling abroad must either obtain a negative test result in advance, according to the regulations of the countries, or face the practice of quarantine in the country in which they enter. But with the spread of this practice in the future, it is expected that the passport of vaccination in travel will become part of our lives.
On the other hand, it is also reported by US media that the Biden administration is currently working on a vaccine passport to be used not only on travel, but also in everyday life. With the implementation of this application, US citizens will have to show this passport, which will prove that they have been vaccinated, before entering a restaurant or crowded environment.
Similar news seem to be coming from Europe, as well. According to recent reports, the EU is working hard to implement similar application by June.
The World Health Organization is also working on a “smart vaccination certificate” that will provide guidelines and standards for digital vaccine passports.
In New York, one of the states most affected by the Coronavirus outbreak in the United States, the “vaccine passport” application has come into use. Israel has a digital passport app, called the “Green Passport” which is already in use and is issued by the Israeli government to people who have been vaccinated.
