Weather Forecast in Turkey on December 24, 2024: Yellow and Orange Alerts for many Provinces

According to the latest forecasts from the Turkish State Meteorological Service, the weather across Turkey is expected to be mostly cloudy. Intermittent rainfall is expected in several regions, including Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, western Central Anatolia, Western Black Sea, inner parts of Eastern Black Sea, western Eastern Anatolia, Southeastern Anatolia, and areas surrounding Karaman, Erzurum, Muş, Bitlis, and Şırnak.

The rain is expected to be mostly in the form of showers, with thunderstorm activity on the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts, and snow in parts of the Eastern Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia regions. Below is the detailed regional weather forecast for Tuesday, December 24, 2024.

MARMARA

Cloudy with intervals of rain and showers. Heavy rain is expected in Istanbul, Balıkesir, Bursa, Yalova, and the southern parts of Çanakkale.

• Edirne: 13°C, cloudy with rain and showers expected this morning and tomorrow evening.

AEGEAN

Mostly cloudy with intermittent rain and showers. Coastal areas will experience thunderstorms, and heavy rain is expected in some areas.

Izmir: 13°C, cloudy with intermittent rain and thunderstorms expected, some heavy.

MUĞLA: On December 24, 2024, the weather in Muğla is expected to be very cloudy with heavy rain and thunderstorms. The rain will be intermittent throughout the day, and the coastal areas will experience stronger rainfall, potentially with thunderstorm activity. Winds from the south will be strong, and the region may also experience gusty conditions.

MEDITERRANEAN

Mostly cloudy with rain and showers. Coastal areas will experience thunderstorms. Heavy rain is expected in Adana and Mersin, with very heavy rain in parts of Western Mediterranean.

ANTALYA: 17°C, cloudy with intermittent rain and thunderstorms, some of which will be heavy.

CENTRAL ANATOLIA

Cloudy with rain and showers in the west and Karaman. Winds will be strong from the south, and frost and fog are expected in the morning and night.

WESTERN BLACK SEA

Cloudy with rain and showers. Strong winds are expected in the interior parts, and frost and fog are expected in the morning and night.

CENTRAL and EASTERN BLACK SEA

Cloudy with intermittent rain and snow in the inland areas. Strong winds are expected in Eastern Black Sea’s inland regions, and there is a risk of avalanches in high areas.

EASTERN ANATOLIA

Cloudy with rain and snow in the west and in areas around Erzurum, Muş, Bitlis, and Şırnak. Frost and fog are expected in the morning and night. There is a risk of avalanches in steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia.

SOUTHEASTERN ANATOLIA

Partly cloudy with rain and showers across the region, except for Şanlıurfa.
