Weather in Turkey: “Cloudy weather brings relief… Warnings issued for many cities”

The rainy weather, which the Meteorology Department warned about yesterday, has started to show its effects over a wide area of the country. With the cloud cover, the burning effect of the sun has diminished, and temperatures have dropped.
The General Directorate of Meteorology issued warnings for heavy rain in many cities, including Istanbul and Ankara. According to forecasts, rainy weather will be effective in many parts of the country today. Cities dominated by cloudy skies have also seen a decrease in temperatures.
In Istanbul, where temperatures had approached 40 degrees Celsius, they have fallen below 30 degrees. Significant drops in temperatures were also observed in the central and northern regions.
WARNING FOR ISTANBUL
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) announced that the thunderstorm, which started yesterday evening, is expected to continue until tomorrow evening.
According to the statement made by AKOM, thunderstorms were observed locally in the city this morning. The temperature, which is around 25 degrees, is expected to rise to around 29 degrees in the afternoon. AFFECTING MANY CITIES
According to the evaluations made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, today, the entire country is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy. Local thunderstorms and rain showers are expected in the Marmara, Inner Aegean, Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, Black Sea regions, and around Erzincan, Kars, Ardahan, and Iğdır.
The rain is expected to be locally heavy in the Western Black Sea, Central Black Sea coasts, Ankara, Kırıkkale, Çankırı, Istanbul, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Rize, Artvin, Ardahan, the north of Adana and Mersin, and the western districts of Kahramanmaraş. In the Western Black Sea coasts, it is expected to be very heavy and severe in places. The wind is expected to blow strongly (40-60 km/h) from the north in the southern Aegean coasts.
