Weather in Turkey: Meteorology says summer hheat on the way

METEOROLOGY-TURKEY

Meteorology has released its regional weather forecasts: Summer heat is on the way! According to the forecasts by the Turkish State Meteorological Service, the western regions of the country will be partly cloudy, with heavy rain expected in the Edirne and Tekirdağ areas, as well as the northern districts of Çanakkale, after midnight.

Other areas will have clear or slightly cloudy skies. There will be frost and freezing conditions in the eastern parts of the country during the night and morning hours, along with fog and mist in various regions. Avalanche risk is also high in the highlands of the Eastern Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia. Here is the weather forecast for March 11, 2025, region by region:

MARMARA

Partly and slightly cloudy, becoming mostly cloudy in the west. After midnight, rain showers are expected in the Edirne and Tekirdağ regions, as well as northern Çanakkale. Fog and mist are expected during the morning and night hours.

Edirne: 23°C, partly and slightly cloudy, turning mostly cloudy with rain after midnight.
Istanbul: 17°C, partly and slightly cloudy, with fog and mist in the morning.

AEGEAN: Partly and slightly cloudy. Fog and mist are expected in the morning and night hours.

İzmir: 21°C, partly and slightly cloudy.
Muğla: 15°C, partly and slightly cloudy.

MEDITERRANEAN: Partly and slightly cloudy. Fog and mist are expected in the interior regions during the morning and night hours.

Adana: 8°C – 24°C, partly and slightly cloudy.
Antalya: 12°C – 20°C, mostly clear.




CENTRAL ANATOLIA

Partly and slightly cloudy. Fog and mist are expected during the morning and night hours.

Ankara: 22°C, partly and slightly cloudy.

WESTERN BLACK SEA

Partly and slightly cloudy. Fog and mist are expected during the morning and night hours.

CENTRAL AND EASTERN BLACK SEA

Partly and slightly cloudy. Fog and mist are expected during the morning and night hours. Avalanche risk is high in the interior parts of the Eastern Black Sea.

EASTERN ANATOLIA

Partly and slightly cloudy. Frost and freezing conditions are expected during the morning and night hours, along with fog and mist in various regions. Avalanche risk is high in the highlands of the region.

Kars: 12°C, partly and slightly cloudy.

SOUTHEAST ANATOLIA

Partly and slightly cloudy. Fog and mist are expected in the morning and night hours.

Diyarbakır: 23°C, partly and slightly cloudy.
