Weather in Turkey: Snow and rain warning from Meteorology

According to the forecasts published by the General Directorate of Meteorology on February 19, the precipitation that will manifest itself locally today will spread throughout the country tomorrow. The northern parts of the earthquake zone will see snow and sleet.

Snowy and cold days had been effective after the earthquake in Turkey. Temperatures have been rising recently and the snowfall has lost its effect, but according to forecasts, the precipitation will be effective again from tomorrow and will cover a significant part of the country.

RAIN WILL BE EFFECTIVE FROM REGION TO REGION TODAY

According to a recent assessment by the General Directorate of Meteorology:

Northern, Central and eastern part of the country will be partly and very cloudy, rainy and Middle Eastern Black Sea coast, the North and east of Tokat will see rain or rain and snow. Inner parts of the eastern Black Sea Sivas, Erzincan, Erzurum, Kars, Ardahan, and other places around Van will have snow.

Precipitation is expected to be heavy in the form of heavy snow in the east of Rize, Artvin and the north of Ardahan and in places. In the inner and eastern parts, haze and fog are expected in places along with icing and frost events. There is a risk of avalanche danger on the sloping and high slopes of the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia.
