What will the weather be like this weekend? Report from Meteorology

The General Directorate of Meteorology has reported that air temperatures will be above seasonal normal as of the weekend and August. Temperatures will also be 2-3 degrees above seasonal normal in Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara.

General Directorate of Meteorology shared the weather report forecasts for the weekend and August.

Recalling that air temperatures throughout the country have been below seasonal norms especially due to precipitation in the northern, inner and eastern parts of the country for about 1.5 months, Meteorology said that since the beginning of the week, there had been a gradual increase in air temperatures throughout the country.

The report went on as follows: “With this increase, air temperatures have risen above seasonal norms as of now. Air temperatures increased by 2 to 4 degrees across the country. Tomorrow and at the end of the week, the air temperatures will be 2 to 4 degrees above the seasonal norm in this way. The missed and expected summer temperatures are effective throughout the country as of now.”

SHORT-TERM SHOWERS IN NORTHERN PARTS

Stating that precipitation was not expected across the country tomorrow and there would be short-term showers in the vicinity of Kars, Ardahan, Artvin over the weekend, the report included the following assessments:

“As of tomorrow and over the weekend, we expect a fine sunny weather with little cloud and clear skies to take effect in almost all parts of the country. From the beginning of the week, there will also be short-term showers in the northern parts of the country. The air temperature will continue to be above seasonal norms throughout the country from the beginning of the week.”

WEATHER IN ISTANBUL, ANKARA AND IZMIR

Meteorology provided the following information regarding the weather forecasts of the three major provinces: “We do not expect precipitation on Friday and weekend in Istanbul. A little cloudy and clear weather prevails. The air temperature will be around 31-32 degrees in the coming days in Istanbul, 2-3 degrees above seasonal normal.

There is no precipitation on Friday and on the weekend in Izmir, it is slightly cloudy, clear and sunny beautiful weather prevails. We expect the air temperature to be around 34-35 degrees in the coming days in Izmir, 1-2 degrees above the seasonal norm.

As we look at the capital Ankara, the weather has warmed up in Ankara. As of now, the air temperature is 34 degrees. We expect that the air temperature in Ankara will be around 34-35 degrees tomorrow and at the weekend, 2-3 degrees above the seasonal norm. A beautiful sunny weather with a slight cloudiness and clearness will be effective in Ankara in the coming days.”
