Health Minister Koca said that there would be no mask requirement in schools this year. The 2022-2023 academic year is starting next week. Weekly Covid cases are on the rise. The answer to the question was given by Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, who answered journalists’ questions after the Cabinet meeting.

Koca, who said that COVID-related hospitalizations have decreased, also noted that there would be no mask requirement at schools.

Stating that those who wish could wear masks, Koca underlined that children with chronic diseases should be vaccinated.

Koca also made an assessment of the White Reform, which improved the conditions of health workers, and stated that the number of physicians applying to return to the public had exceeded 6 thousand.

NO RISK FOR MONKEY POX

Koca, who said that there were 12 cases of monkey pox, noted following; “We can clearly express that monkey pox will not be either endemic or a pandemic for us. Monkey pox can only be transmitted by very close contact, staying together in the same environment for a long time.”
