Economy Minister says Turkey will rank second in growth in the world

Economy Minister ZEYBEKCI said that Turkey would be the second in the world in the third quarter and made the following interesting statement; “Even the credit rating agencies do not have time to renew their estimates about Turkey”. The Minister expressed that Turkey would grow by 7.5 percent in the third quarter and went on to say “By God’s will, we will be the second in the world in the third quarter growth”.

Zeybekci who attended the 6th ordinary district congress of Ak Parti organized at Acipayam Talip Özkan Art Center delivered a speech to party members here. The Minister said that Turkey’s goal of becoming one of the world’s top 10 economies in 2023 would definitely surely be achieved.

Zeybekci also pointed out that Turkey was the 13th biggest economy in the world according the IMF report on the economic growth of the countries which was announced last week and added Turkey had surpassed Spain and was now the 5th biggest in Europe.

Zeybekci explained that some quarters that saw Turkey’s growth and development as the Middle East was being reshaped, felt uncomfortable about this situation and they did not want Turkey to sit at the table. His further expressions in regards could be interpreted as “They are aware Turkey is an obstacle for them to put their plans into practice and this situation certainly bothers them”.
