According to ORC Research’s 15-month survey table, the AK Party’s vote has melted by 8.8 percent since February 2021.

Although the AK Party (AKP) emerged as the first party from the local elections in 2019, metropolitan cities such as Ankara and Istanbul had switched to the CHP. The next election will be held in June 2023.

However, the deterioration in the economy after insisting on the wrong policies is causing the meltdown in the AKP to continue.

According to results shared by ORC Research which was previously known for its proximity to ruling party (but decimated with the AKP due to the data it disclosed), the AKP fell to 28 percent in May 2022, failing to maintain its 36.8 percent vote share in February 2021.

CHP, the main opposition party with a 26 percent share of the vote, increased its vote by 1.8 percentage points in 15 months.

The GOOD Party, which almost doubled its vote share of 10.8 percent in February 2021, increased to 18.4 in February 2021.
