The unemployment rate in the first quarter of the year was 11.4 percent with an increase of 0.1 percent.
According to TUIK’s data, the number of unemployed people increased by 50 thousand compared to the previous quarter and amounted to 3 million 845 thousand people.
The unemployment rate was estimated at 10.2 percent for men and 13.7 percent for women.
Meanwhile, the number of registered unemployed appears to have increased by 23 percent, even though President Erdogan has said “Those who want to work are getting jobs”.
